No TV Weekend
Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 11:20PM | ZETAZEN So this weekend I imposed no TV on to my children. They had been out of the school for the better part of the week and they had been watching a lot of TV. So Friday night, I came home and announced NO TV this weekend.... OH my...my youngest child....well you would have thought the world ended...the child CRIED! And she couldn't, wouldn't stop...AS IF! Even time you mentioned TV, she would just start balling her eyes out! She eventually got over it.
Thus far, they have been very resourceful in finding other things to day. This was a good opportunity for them to do other things....things that would help to occupy and stretch their imaginations. I was just sooooooo tired of my youngest one asking if she could watch TV...she's become addicted. And the idiot box was just draining them of all things imaginary. They needed to use their minds and think of a magical place to expand and grow.
This was good idea...little do they know...it will be a No TV weekend again. Ah, how dare she they will say....but only in their minds....

No superbowl this weekend...:) hahaha.... I only impose those rules when I know that I myself can stick by it! ha.
lol We stuck by it pretty well. I did watch the Super Bowl, but they didn't care about that. I saw a difference in them. I really believe that Disney is killing the minds our children.
